Elena Atrián Blasco

STORM-BOTS Project Manager

Bio: I obtained my PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Zaragoza in 2015. I have carried out postdoctoral research at the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination (LCC-CNRS) from 2016 to 2019, and then at the Bionanosurf group and Redox Active Materials group (at INMA/CSIC-UNIZAR) from 2019 to 2022. My main research interest has focused on bioinorganic chemistry, having worked on developing metal-based drugs with anticancer and antibacterial properties and studying the influence of metal ions in the development of Alzheimer’s disease. 

Since being an MSCA postdoctoral fellow for the project PePiPOM, my interest in project management has grown, and I decided to follow this path in my career and continue my training in this aspect. I joined the AML group in September 2022 as Project Manager of the STORM-BOTS project.

Hobbies: In my free time I enjoy taking my dog for long walks, playing drums (or learning to play), and planning the next Bacterfield event
